BRITNEY SPEARS Blackout

November 21st, 2007 by admin

There’s an appropriate bleakness to Britney Spears’ first album in four years, and her first as a tabloid figure rather than a vibrant teen idol. The hazy-eyed bump-and-grind of her “Gimme More” MTV Video Music Awards performance fits all this material: It’s defiant like a bad drunk, uncomfortably oversexed and more at home in a seedy after-hours club than a celebrity ultra-lounge. The music ranges from shockingly minimal—”Piece of Me” and “Radar” have the synth fugues and smudgy bass of current underground electro and little else—to novelty pop, like the J.J. Fad-styling of “Freakshow” and Gwen Stefani-ripping snare march of “Toy Soldier.” Spears is threatening or seducing, or both, on every track. This is still pop, but the last bits of Spears’ song-and-dance girl veneer are cracking, along with the rest of her public persona. —Kerri Mason

Lonestar Crazy Nights Contemporary Country Music CD Review

November 16th, 2007 by admin

Lonestar released their most recent CD entitled Crazy Nights.

Refreshingly, this was one of those CDs I was able to just pop in and comfortably listen to from beginning to end. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty easy for me to listen to from start to finish.

One of the refreshingly nice things about this CD is the way all of the participating artists seem to be really enjoying themselves. Combine that with the overall presentation and you’ve got one of Lonestar most impressive releases ever.

Overall Crazy Nights is a solid release. Quite possibly Lonestar’s best to date. Really spectacular from beginning to end. If you’re even mildly into Contemporary country music you’ll enjoy this CD.

While this entire CD is really very good some of my favorites are track 1 - Come Cryin’ To Me, track 5 - John Doe On A John Deere, and track 11 - What Do We Do With The Rest Of The Night

My Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore […as in “Stuck On REpeat”] is track 6 - You Walked In. This is a great track!

Music and Guided Meditation for Self Development

November 15th, 2007 by admin

We can all use some self-development in our lives sometime or another. Self-development whether boosted up or maintained to keep us healthy and happier can be helped with music and meditation.

When meditating we learn the skills and practice for relaxation. Relaxation helps to prevent pain, get a more restful night of sleep, along with many other things to keep us happy and healthy.

Being healthy will help us have a longer life to spend with our loved ones. Spend more happy living hours with a better self-esteem by practicing self-development. Guided meditation will help you and everyone around you when you are healthy and happy to be alive.

There are many ways to learn the skills of guided meditation for self-development. You can find a lot of information by researching on the Internet, checking for information at your local library and even at a bookstore. You will be able to find music and information to help you learn to relax and be happy. Start practicing and learning today by using one of my techniques to enhance your self-development skills.

How to learn guided meditation for self-development with musical exercises: Learning guided meditation with music is a skill and not an exercise; so don’t expect to see immediate results over night. You will need to make a few changes in your everyday life at least three times a week. Make some goals and use positive thinking to be successful with meditation skills for self-improvement. Remember it took years to get where you are at; so don’t expect an miracle overnight.

Make a list of goals and what changes you need in order to reach them. Use positive thinking skills to enhance your goals and improvements.

One of your goals might be sleeping better at night. How can you improve your sleeping habits to enhance self-development? Figure out why you are not sleeping. If it is from stress, perhaps you can use meditation to reduce tension.

How can you relieve stress to help you relax with music? Music can be very relaxing to a person that is tensed from a long stressful day. The music you choose can be whatever does the job. Usually a low soft sound is best for relaxing.

Pick a time and place that you can go off and be alone where it is quiet and peaceful. Some people like the woods where they can lay in the grass and listen to the music with a nice breeze blowing around them.

Lie down and let yourself drift off somewhere that you’d like to be. Use your positive thinking skills and imagination to help you relax while listening to the music. Once you’ve found the right place to lay and drift let your toes go first.

Second let your feet drift off with the toes and your imagination. Keep on letting each part of your body go until you’ve reached your head. Now just lay there and relax.

As you start relaxing your body will begin to feel funny but that is ok because it means your on the way to improving your self-development skills.

It takes about 20 to 30 minutes really to relax for you to notice a difference when you get up. Relaxing with music for guided meditation to self-development will help you to look forward to facing the next day at whatever you have to do. You will be able to make better decisions because you slept better the night before. It will be easier be around people once you learn self-development skill to be more successful at daily living.

Enjoy your new relaxation for self-development skills with guided mediation and music and become happier and healthier person.

Until the End of Time

November 10th, 2007 by admin

Justin Timberlake’s sixth release from solo bow “FutureSex/LoveSounds” has earned props as the first time that six tracks from one release have hit the top 40 since Michael Jackson’s “Dangerous” more than 15 years ago. With Beyoncé now stripped onto “Until the End of Time,” it’s quite likely JT will score the tenacious set’s fourth No. 1—which has already catapulted into the top five at R&B. The meandering song is clearly a tribute to Prince, with its soul-soaked guitar-driven shuffle and funkified production—think “I Would Die 4 U” on Xanax. While Timberlake’s vocals are smoothed out to near anonymity, as usual, he employs recognizable falsetto amid layers of appreciably creamy harmonies. It’s Beyoncé, however, that really fuels the passion of the track, with her loosest vocal performance since “Listen” from “Dreamgirls”—and Timberlake is wise enough to sprawl her vocal across the song so that it commands the lead. The mantra here: unstoppable. —Chuck Taylor

Free Mp3 Music Download Site

November 7th, 2007 by admin

Recently I have been trying to search for free mp3 music to download from a website; it was really frustrating by the amount of useless links or lists produced from the search engine. Honestly I can’t say all the websites I went through were useless or not exactly free mp3 music download websites, only a few rarely provide free mp3 music for download.

Seriously, if any one is really interested in searching for free mp3 music download websites, don’t bother to search through the search engine. Whatever is the outcome of the results from the search engine, you can be sure that the top of the lists will not be absolutely free. Most listed websites will require people to register as a member before you can begin to download free mp3 music from their website. Registering as a member from these web sites will not be completely free and they will need you to subscribe in a monthly, annually or lifetime membership. Membership websites will look affordable ranging from a few dollars, on a monthly basis or range from $10 to $100 for annually or lifetime membership.

Well, it is not completely a hopeless thing to find some absolutely free mp3 music to download from a website. We have to go around the problem to search for free mp3 music to download.

I seriously recommend anyone to try out using “Bit Torrent” to search and download free mp3 music from a website. Go to bittorrent and download the latest bit torrent software. The software is free for download and it does not require anyone to pay or subscribe to anything for money so it won’t cost you a cent. The reason why you need to download the software is because whatever music you are going to download, it will be in bit torrent format and it will automatically convert it to .mp3 format when the whole mp3 music file have been downloaded.

Once you have downloaded and installed the bit torrent software, use the search engine to search for bit torrent website. It is a lot easierto search for bit torrent website than searching for mp3 music websites. From the above bit torrent websites, use the search engine from within the website to search for your favorite mp3 music to download.

When you are learning how to put music to Ipod, the first thing to decide is where you want to get the music from. You have two main sources-your CDs, and the internet, from downloads etc. First of all I’m going to show you how to get the music from your Cds onto your Ipod.

Step 1- Connect your computer to the internet, if it’s not already, and download a copy of Itunes from the Apple website. If you already have Itunes, take the time to update it to the latest version. The newer ones are slightly faster.

Step 2- Grab whatever CDs you want to and transfer them into Itunes. This is just about the most simple thing in the world, so I won’t insult you by dragging it out here.

Step 3- Connect the Ipod to the computer with your USB cable. All you need to do from there is make sure the computer and the Ipod are both switched on and recognise each other, then you can begin to drag and drop the songs from Itunes into your Ipod.

That’s the tricky part, as once the music is downloaded all you need to do is transfer it onto the Ipod like before. For a list of a few excellent download sites, check out http://www.ipodlowdown.com. A good download site will typically charge you a small one off membership fee, and in return give you access to as many download as you wish, and their libraries are huge. Sony going green

August 19th, 2007 by admin

In an effort to take back the junk:

The electronics and entertainment company has previously accepted products for recycling at a few places. The initiative announced today (Aug. 17) greatly expands the number of locations.

Other makers of computers and electronics, like Apple Inc., Dell Inc. and Hewlett-Packard Co., have their own recycling programs, which generally rely on customers mailing in their old gear. Sony is the first to partner with trash-hauler Waste Management Inc., which has a network of recycling drop-off centers.

The centers will accept any Sony or Sony Ericsson-branded gadgets for free, and other brands for a fee.

The 75 stations available starting Sept. 15 are spread unevenly over the country, with 17 stations in California and 19 in Minnesota but none in 32 states. Eight states, including New York, have only one station each.

Sony and Waste Management plan to double the number of drop-off centers within a year, with the aim of having at least one in every state. Ultimately, the goal is to have a center within 20 miles of 95 percent of the U.S. population.

In the meantime, it will be possible to ship used Sony products to some of the recycling locations at the customers’ expense.

The Cure Going on Tour

June 23rd, 2007 by admin

If you grew up like I did in the 80’s then you probably have a special place in your heart for The Cure. They were a band that didn’t run in the mainstream and avoided the over hyped and over played crappola like Howard Jones, another English import. They instead focused on the bitter side of life with their music and brought us along for the journey. If you broke up with your significant other, you listened to The Cure. If you had a really bad day, you listened to The Cure. With Great hits like ” Boy Don’t Cry,” “Why Can’t I be You,” and ” Friday I’m in Love” , just to name a few. Of course not all their songs were depressing, but it is the one think we loved about the band. Before Nirvana made depression and angst cool there was The Cure. Anyway they are going on tour this Summer in the U.S and are releasing a new Album.

Rock Music Overview

June 2nd, 2007 by admin

In general I would have to agree that rock has become somewhat too commercialized and much of it is to manufactured for its own good. I can run down a list of artist that I believe are simply cranking our music in an effort to make money and keep their name in the spot light. If I were going t create a quick list I would place names like Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson, and lest I be considered a chauvinist pig I would  put  Nickelback and  Lincoln Park in the same category.  In essence these are just a few artist, who in my opinion, create music that sounds eerily similar to the previous song they released. The albums are dull at best and I would say their careers show a real lack of growth from one album to the next. Of course jailbird Hilton has  one released one album, but I don’t think many people would disagree that she doesn’t have a creative bone on her, along with missing panties.

That being said, I think there are still plenty of artist out there putting it on the line and creating music that does evolve with time. Just to name a few: Greenday, Justin Timberlake, Gwen Stefani are all artist who come to mind. These musicians actually are pushing the envelope of what we call Rock and evolving it into the next genre. Alternative is hackneyed and so is hip hop. I think the reason music sales are down is that there is very little excitement in music right now. Where is the next wave of sound that blows everyones mind? Where are the next Beatles, or Nirvanas of the world going to come from? Time will tell.
